NBN23 WILL REPRESENT EUROPE AT THE OLYMPIC GAMES OF RIO 2016

Valencian company Nothingbutnet (NBN23) has been the winner, among 123 companies, of the European edition of the Global Sports Innovation Competition, held at the University of Trento (Italy), which gives it access to represent Europe in the world final of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games

There, NBN23 will compete with seven other finalist start-ups, which will represent different territories around the world on August 2, during the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. The participants, who will compete for a prize of 100,000 euros, will present their ideas before a public composed of investors, accelerators and the main agents of the sports and innovation industry. Among the members of the jury, there are companies and institutions from the Sports field such as Nike, Adidas, Golden State Warriors, BBC TV Sports or the Committee © Organizer of Rio 2016.

NBN23 project proposes to modernize basketball through technology and Big Data. Its solutions are based on obtaining new data to improve decision making and increase the performance of athletes. In addition, he works on the development of systems to optimize the management of federations, leagues and competitions at all levels of this sport.

Global Sports Innovation Competition, created by the Hype Foundation, is an international competition in which every year innovative and entrepreneurial companies compete from the technological point of view that are linked to the field of sport. In this edition, more than 71,000 projects from 46 countries have been presented.

With this recognition, NBN23, which is based in the Parc Cientific of the University of Valencia in Paterna, continues its growth. In just one year of life, it has been recognized with the VLC / Campus Start Up and the 5U CV Start Up. In addition, it has received the support of the Institut Valencia de Competitivitat Empresarial (IVACE).
